1974 Leather Co. is a woman owned, small business. All items are handmade and made to order by leather artisan and designer, Beth Dryden.

 

The Nature of Handmade Items 
All 1974 products are handmade and due to the nature of my production method, each product may vary slightly. All 1974 products have normal “markings” within the leather whether there are holes, ink marks, ragged edges, etc. This is where the beauty is and what is usually highlighted in each piece. For damages during shipment, please see below under "Shipping Policies".

 

Returns + Exchanges 1974 Leather occasionally* accepts returns/exchanges on all leather goods within 5 days of delivery provided they are in their original condition and were not a custom order, sale item or gift card. Due to my business being a small start-up with added costs for making items to order, All returns will be processed back to you in the form of a 1974 Gift Card (store credit only) which will be sent out once I receive the product back. To begin a return/exchange on a ready-to-ship item, Contact 1974 within 5 days of delivery to receive return instructions. 

*Sale items and gift cards are final sales and cannot be returned or exchanged. Custom-ordered items are made specifically for you or whomever you are gifting it to and cannot be returned or exchanged due to the custom nature of the piece and materials purchased specifically for that item.

Sale items, gift cards, one-of-a-kind, and made-to-order pieces are final sales and cannot be returned or exchanged. 

Please note: The majority of 1974 products are made-to-order and/or one-of-a-kind and usually have some form of customization whether it is leather or stitch color preference or other detailed work.

 

Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to me. Please note that buyers who shop and purchase via Instagram, Facebook, and this site will have their information stored for 1974 Leather Co. marketing purposes only. It will not be sold or shared. 

 

Shipping Policy / Shipment Processing Time

All orders are processed within 5-15 business days. In most cases, items are made to order unless stated it is a "ready to ship" product within the description. Each product is handmade with love and care and your patience is much appreciated so that you get a top-quality bag or wallet.

Should your order be received during a high volume time, owner and artist, Beth Dryden, will reach out directly via email to give the best time estimates of when your product will be made and shipped.

Shipment confirmation and order tracking

You will receive a shipping notification via email with tracking information once I have finished making it and dropped it in the mail.

Customs, duties, and taxes

1974 Leather Co. is not responsible for any customs and taxes applied to your order. All fees imposed during or after shipping are the responsibility of the customer (tariffs, taxes, etc.).

Damages

1974 Leather Co. is not liable for any products damaged or lost during shipping. If you received your order damaged, please contact the shipment carrier or our support team directly to file a claim. Please save all packaging material and damaged goods before filing a claim.

International Shipping Policy

Currently, 1974 Leather Co. is not selling or shipping outside of the Domestic United States. Please stay informed of any changes to this policy via signing up for the newsletter and by following 1974 on social media.
