A small place for the things that always seem to disappear.

The Lincoln River is a compact leather pouch for coins, cards, keys, hair ties, earbuds, or whatever small things tend to migrate to the bottom of your bag.

Its softly structured shape gives those little necessities a place of their own, while the natural character of the leather makes it feel more like a small object of design than an ordinary pouch.

Made from Italian vegetable-tanned leather, Lincoln River will darken and develop its own patina with use. Each piece also carries a naturally unique River’s edge, so no two are exactly alike.

Because sometimes getting your life together starts with giving the little things somewhere to go.

Turnaround Times

All items will be made within 5-15 business days depending on the size and complexity of each order/piece. Some pieces such as the Dakota Ring and Key Fobs are likely to be made sooner. Then your order will be shipped via whichever option you choose. During the busiest of seasons there will be social posts and an announcement in the header of this site stating the turnaround time. Should you need an order rushed, please reach out and I will do my best to accommodate depending on the current schedule. There could be a 15% rush fee added depending on the size of the order and how quickly you will need it.

About the Leather

1974 leather goods are solely made from high quality, beautiful vegetable tanned leather. Vegetable tanning is where barks from various trees are being used in the tanning process which can take up to 2 months. It’s a leather that will age gracefully as the oils from your hands and overall use will give a beautiful patina, darkening the leather a bit in certain areas. This only contributes to it being solely a one-of-a-kind to you and the journey you’re on. A beautiful thing. Each leather hide will vary in color, markings, textures and such. Each hide has one-of-a-kind character before it's even made into the heirloom it will become. Any hardware on your new 1974 will have an antique brass finish and when the design allows, will have a YKK zipper.

Make it Yours

If you're looking to customize any 1974 leather product with a specific leather color or stitch color combination, extra pockets, a particular strap length, please reach out here. I will do my best to accommodate most requests if they do not compromise the overall original design of the piece. Additional fees may apply depending on the customization. I currently do not offer personalization as far as initials go.

Leather Love

I love to use Smith’s All Natural Leather Balm on my leather goods. It's a non toxic leather conditioner designed to restore worn leather and protect new leather goods. Each piece that leaves my hands will have been swathed in it. If for some reason, a piece gets dirty (which in my eyes, that makes it all the more lovely) then use a damp cloth to see if that removes the stain. If a piece gets a water/rain stain, most likely it will dry and be fine. If not, then gently work the leather a bit. That helps to bring it back to a normal state. Leather is tough so don't be afraid to use your 1974 daily... Beat it up, hold it close and most of all, enjoy!

Refund/Exchange Policy

The Nature of Handmade Items
All of my products are handmade and due to the nature of my production method, each product may vary slightly. All 1974 products have normal “markings” within the leather whether there are holes, ink marks, ragged edges, etc. This is where the beauty is and what is usually highlighted in each piece. For damages during shipment, please see "Shipping Policies".

Returns + Exchanges 1974 leather occasionally* accepts returns/exchanges within 5 days of delivery provided they are in their original condition and were not a custom order, sale item or gift card. Due to my business being a small start-up with added costs for making items to order, All returns will be processed back to you in the form of a 1974 Gift Card (store credit only) which will be sent out once I receive the product back. To begin a return/exchange on a ready-to-ship item, Contact us within 5 days of delivery to receive return instructions.

*Sale items and gift cards are final sales and cannot be returned or exchanged. Custom-ordered items are made specifically for you or whomever you are gifting it to and cannot be returned or exchanged due to the custom nature of the piece and materials purchased specifically for that item.
